What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian Butt Lift is a surgical procedure in which Dr. DeRoberts or Dr. Armenta remove fat cells from certain areas of the body through liposuction. These usually include the stomach, love handles, and lower back. They then transfers the fat to the buttocks to give it more fullness and lift. Dr. DeRoberts and Dr. Armenta never places fat in the muscle as recommended by all major organizations – safety is our #1 priority.

Butt Lift Procedure

During your consultation with Dr. DeRoberts or Dr. Armenta, he will discuss with you the best areas to transfer fat cells from to enhance your over all contour. Dr. DeRoberts and Dr. Armenta prefers removing fat cells from the stomach, love handles, and lower back because, as a result of removing fat in those areas, his patients will see a narrowing of their waistline while enhancing their natural curves and the buttocks.

Dr. DeRoberts or Dr. Armenta will harvest the removed fat cells. They are then carefully separated and purified before reimplementation. The fat cells are then placed carefully in the buttocks to give it more fullness and shape. The amount of fat injected depends upon the amount harvested and the needs and desires of the patient (up to 1000cc per side). Although all of the fat cells do not survive, often 60-70% of the fat grafted remains permanently in the buttocks and behave just like the natural fat cells there. The patient is under anesthesia through small incisions that need only 1 stitch to close each.

Cost of Butt Augmentation

The cost depends on the number of areas that are liposuctioned and expected time necessary to complete the surgery. Most cases start at $8400, which includes anesthesia, operating room facilities or other related expenses.

How long of a recovery period can I expect, and what kind of help will I need during my recovery?
The recovery period is case specific and is largely affected by the amount of fat harvested, the number of areas liposuctioned, and the amount transferred.
